This is a really good article. I can't understand the 4 rating. So many people ignore these recommendations and UI guidelines in general. I see too many apps that think eye candy is unimportant or they try to copy an existing app like Office and fall short. Here's a free tip: If you're gonna copy Office's look and feel, you better do so exactly or else it will look worse than a bare app.

Keep them coming Dax. We need more design-minded developers out there so we can win back some of the web crowd!
